1.  Understanding What Guests Want

Guest expectations in the UK camping and glamping industry have evolved significantly in recent years. While traditional camping remains popular, more people now seek comfort, unique experiences, and year-round stays.

Guests are looking for:
  • All-Season Comfort – Well-insulated accommodation with heating for year-round stays.
  • Private Facilities – Ensuite bathrooms, kitchenettes, and dedicated spaces for families and couples.
  • Memorable Experiences – Unique, Instagram-worthy accommodation that stands out.
  • Eco-Friendly Options – Sustainable and off-grid solutions that align with modern travel trends.
By offering premium accommodation, you can increase bookings, charge higher nightly rates, and boost profitability.

2. Accommodation Options for Campsites & Holiday Parks

Glamping Cabins

Best for: Holiday parks, glamping sites, and campsites looking to attract higher-paying guests.
  • Comfortable & fully insulated for year-round use.
  • Customisable layouts with ensuite bathrooms, kitchens, and lounge areas.
  • Higher return on investment (ROI) compared to traditional camping.
  • Ideal for couples, families, and groups.

Popular options include:

Family Glamping Cabin (Two 17m² units combined) – Great for family-friendly stays.
Bespoke Lodge Configurations – Larger, interconnected cabins tailored to your business needs.

BBQ Cabins

Wellness & Experience Cabins

Best for: Sites looking to attract niche markets, such as yoga retreats, wellness getaways, and spa breaks.
These add-on experiences can significantly increase guest bookings and on-site revenue.

3. Choosing the Best Accommodation for Your Site

When deciding on accommodation, consider the following:

  • Target Market – Who are your ideal guests? Families, couples, groups, or high-end glampers?
  • Available Space – How many units can your site accommodate comfortably?
  • Seasonality – Do you want cabins that can generate revenue all year round?
  • Budget & ROI – Which accommodation type will offer the best return on investment?
For most campsites and holiday parks, a mix of glamping cabins, BBQ cabins, and wellness cabins creates a diverse offering that attracts a wide range of guests.

4. Maximising Revenue with Smart Accommodation Choices

Beyond standard bookings, there are many ways to boost revenue with add-ons and unique guest experiences

To get the best ROI from your accommodation, consider:
  • Offering unique experiences – Themed stays, adventure packages, and VIP offerings.
  • Flexible booking options – Weekend getaways, midweek deals, and long-stay discounts.
  • Upselling extras – Breakfast hampers, BBQ kits, and guided nature experiences.
  • Seasonal marketing – Promoting winter retreats, summer BBQ experiences, and wellness weekends.
Sites that invest in high-quality, long-lasting accommodation see stronger revenue streams and higher occupancy rates compared to those relying solely on traditional camping setups.

Upgrading your campsite or holiday park with the right accommodation can increase bookings, extend your season, and attract premium guests. Whether you’re adding a couples glamping cabin, a family lodge, or a BBQ cabin for additional revenue, the key is to offer something unique and desirable.

What are your log cabins made from?

Our log cabins are made from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) certified Scandinavian Redwood. Our modern lodges have the option of being cladded with Marley Board, which is virtually maintenance free, meaning you don’t have to worry about having to re-treat or paint your cabin.

What is a BBQ Cabin?

Our BBQ Cabins are inspired by traditional Scandinavian grillkota (“grill house”) that were used by reindeer herders to provide a sheltered space during harsh winters. With a central grill for cooking, grillkota cabins provided a space for communal cooking that are still in use in the modern day.

Are Camping Cabins similar to bell tents and glamping pods?

No, bell tents are made from canvas and are only used for glamping in the dryer seasons. Glamping pods are made from wood but have a similar structural shape to traditional tents and usually consist of just one room. Camping Cabins are inspired by traditional Scandinavian grillkota, can have extensions fitted for additional rooms and can be used all year round.

Are your log cabins waterproof?

Yes, our camping and glamping cabins are watertight due to their structure and insulated roofs and floors. This makes them an ideal choice for all year round glamping!

Where can you deliver your log cabins to?

We deliver and install our log cabins across the UK! Our factory is based in Derbyshire, where all our cabins are made, then sent to businesses across the country. Wherever you are in the UK, we can get a cabin to you!

Can you make a custom cabin for my business?

Our aim is to provide businesses across the UK with high quality timber buildings. Our cabins can be customised with extensions and partitions. However if you are looking for a more bespoke log cabin, our team can provide you with a free quote.
