5 Things Your Glamping Business Needs in 2026

The new year brings fresh ideas for how to make your business ventures even more successful than last year, and winter is the perfect time to start putting plans in motion to be ready for the peak summer holiday season! So here are 5 things we think your glamping or accommodation business needs heading into 2026...

Accommodation Business Inspiration For 2026

1. Excellent Accommodation

Hopefully you already have your accommodation set up, but if not, be sure to take extra care when choosing your accommodation solution, as that’s what your guests will remember most. No one wants to sleep in a cold room with outdated décor or use a grimy old bathroom!

If you’re at the start of your accommodation business journey, we have rustic, pod style glamping cabins and modern lodges that can be built bespoke to your requirements, whether that be individual hotel room style accommodation or a self catered lodge.

If you’re already set up with accommodation options for your business, updating the décor can bring new life to your business! If it’s been a few years since you opened for business, be sure to use the winter months as a time to carry out any essential maintenance to make your glamping cabin or Airbnb look as good as new!

Alternatively, if you fancy a re-fresh, you could go for a complete overhaul of your décor! Maybe try out rooms with themed décor to create an unique experience where guests will want to come back and try all the different rooms or glamping units. One of our clients, Kits Coty,  is a great example of creating a wonderful array of unique glamping accommodation! It’s a great way to attract families or those looking for a unique, quirky place to stay.

2. Great Marketing & Online Presence

Having a presence on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok is great for brand awareness, as younger generations are using social media platforms as search engines and get inspired by content from influencers and family & friends.

If your business needs a boost, you could collaborate with travel influencers to generate interest in your glamping site, or create your own short form videos showing the unique features of your accommodation site or Airbnb.

Make sure you check the user experience of your website, as sites that are easy to navigate with simple booking systems help increase guest numbers. A simple, stress-free booking experience eliminates any confusion during the process and is more trustworthy for potential guests.

Don’t forget about traditional marketing! Posters, flyers and adverts in magazines and newspapers are still highly effective, as you can get your details in front of your target audience. For more tips, we have a blog post all about ideas for marketing your accommodation business.

3. Private Spa Facilities

We’re not saying you need a fully staffed, private spa at your accommodation site (but it certainly sounds like an amazing idea), especially if your business is on a smaller scale, but giving guests the option of something like a private hot tub or sauna can bring that luxurious private getaway feeling to your business not matter the size!

You could always choose to have a private treatment room where guests can have a massage or spa treatment during their stay. Guests will want to fully switch off from everyday life when on holiday, especially if they’re looking for a relaxing break, so providing facilities like this is a must if you want to appeal to the luxury holiday market.

4. A BBQ Cabin

“What is a BBQ cabin?” you might be asking. Well, these hexagonal log cabins are inspired by grillkota that can be found across Scandinavia, featuring a central indoor barbecue grill with surrounding seating. These grill huts create a communal space for cooking and socialising in the cold weather, and with the unpredictability of the British weather, they are a perfect choice for UK businesses! They can be used all throughout the year and are especially cosy when the winter months come around.

For businesses that have lots of separate glamping units like Humble Bee Farm, having one or two BBQ cabins that guests can book to use for an evening during their stay is a great solution.

Alternatively, if you operate a private hire lodge or Airbnb style accommodation like Walnut Barn Estate, your guests could enjoy freely using their own BBQ hut throughout their entire stay. Pair it with a hot tub and you’ve got a luxurious stay that anyone would find hard to resist!

5. Landscaping

This might not be as exciting as a Scandinavian BBQ hut or creating themed rooms, but having well-thought out landscaping can make your guest’s experience better without them even realising!

Picture this- you’ve driven a few hours to get to your holiday destination, a cosy glamping cabin in the countryside, and when you arrive there is no designated parking or driveway, so you’re cautiously driving your car through a muddy field to the cabin. You then have to haul your luggage to the front door of the cabin, walking through the mud and bringing it inside the cabin! Not the ideal experience for those that want the ease and comforts that glamping brings.

By investing in infrastructure like parking and paths, you will bring great quality of life upgrades to your accommodation site that will make guest’s, and your, lives easier. It’s also highly important to consider accessibility when making landscape improvements too, so that everyone can easily and safely navigate around your accommodation site!

If your business already has these things in place, there are always exciting projects you can bring to your accommodation site this year, like creating picturesque picnic spaces and children’s play parks that you can plan to!

To Summarise:

Make the most of the quieter months and set your business up for success in 2026 by taking time for general maintenance, working on your online presence & marketing, improving guest facilities, and creating something new & exciting to keep your guests coming back and recommending you to their friends and family!
