Huntley Wood Case Study

The Business:

“Coneyglade”, “Deepmere” and “Wyldwood” make up Huntley Wood- 150 acres of grasslands and woods in the Staffordshire Moorlands, each with a unique environment.

Huntley Wood is an outdoor event space that has been used for festivals, weddings and LARP (Live Action Role Play). The venue can also be used for traditional camping and glamping in log cabins.

Besides enjoying an outdoor event and the beautiful, sprawling landscape at Huntley Wood, the venue is also near Stoke-on-Trent, Cheadle and Alton Towers, so there are plenty of things to see and do in the local area.

The Accommodation:

Four of our extended camping cabins were recently installed at Huntley Wood as glamping pods, where they are “available to be hired as an add-on to the venue site hire, or are available for individual hire as well.” Named ‘Barney’, ‘Molly’, ‘Jake’ and “Sansa”, the glamping pod cabins offer a cosy place for guests to stay surrounded by nature, so they can enjoy all that the venue has to offer.

Each cabin can sleep up to 4 people with a double bed and benches that fold out to become 2 single beds. The cabins have also been fitted with a wood burning stove to keep warm and offer a unique glamping experience!

The Experience with Camping Cabins:

When dealing with the Camping Cabins team, the team at Huntley Wood said that “installation was quick (2 to 3 days)” and “any issues that occurred later on (due to the English weather), staff addressed promptly by returning and good communication”

The glamping pod cabins are a new addition to the venue, and ahead of the peak glamping season “the response from the event organizers has been positive”, so we wish the team all the best with their new glamping accommodation and hope that guests enjoy staying in them!
