Based in Derbyshire, Carl transforms his glamping accommodation site, Driftwood Lodges into a festive experience for families every Christmas.

We caught up with Carl from Driftwood Lodges to tell us about how he turns his luxury glamping accommodation site into an immersive seasonal experience, where families can meet Santa Claus in his very own Scandinavian cabin!

For the majority of the year, Driftwood Lodges is home to three of our glamping cabins that Carl uses for his luxury glamping accommodation, a communal BBQ cabin for guests to use and a few of our classic camping cabins that are utilised for his festive experience spaces.

The Business:
When the festive season rolls around, Carl’s luxury glamping site gets a Christmas makeover and becomes the highly anticipated Driftwood Land, which sells out every year, drawing in repeat customers that are eager to share the seasonal magic with their loved ones.

Whilst spending an evening at Driftwood Land, families can enjoy hot beverages, toasting marshmallows, making reindeer food, and of course meeting Santa Claus! The theme of Driftwood Land changes every year, so there will always be something new for families to experience.

The Impact:
The success of Driftwood Land has also allowed Carl to ease his workload when it comes to his glamping business. Running the glamping lodges at the weekend leaves the rest of the week free for glamping site improvements and planning Driftwood Land for next year!
