Nanny Sharon's Alpaca Farm

After a life changing event completely rocked Dave and Sharon's world in 2017, the initial dream of Nanny Sharon's Alpaca Farm slowly turned into a reality.

In 2018, Dave began building the foundation of the Farm as it is today. One by one adding alpacas, pygmy goats, emu's, rhea's and wallabies. It soon, however, became obvious that the farm had also become a wonderful outlet and form of therapy for Dave and his family. Spending time outdoors in nature and around animals helped them to process this life changing event and spurred Dave on to find ways in which he could help the local community. In 2022, they became registered as a Community Interest Company (non-for-profit) and have been welcoming people ever since!

Towards the end of 2022, Dave and Sharon decided that the addition of 3 Camping Cabins would be the next step in their farm journey. It allowed them to continue offering fantastic animal experiences to run even with the ever-changing weather conditions.  A cosy log fire to enjoy a cup of tea after walking an alpaca! We caught up with them to find out how they're getting on...

How Did You First Hear About Camping Cabins?

"We actually found your page after a quick internet search on 'Log Cabins'.  After looking through your website, testimonials and brochure, we got in contact with Anne-Marie - she's fantastic! She was our point of contact and always on the end of the phone to answer our questions. Not only is she extremely good at her job, but we also felt really comfortable with her; nothing was too much hassle!"

The Plan:

"We wanted a suitable indoor space to use during our animal interaction sessions which could accommodate our disabled visitors as well. The cabins allow us to have a nice, warm meeting place after our alpaca walks and a special space to hire out or hold events! We went with the most suitable design that would align with our natural surroundings, and they could not look better!"
