As we head into the first few weeks of spring, many glamping sites will be starting to open for holidaymakers to embark on their first glamping adventures of the year. Ahead of the peak season, we had a look at what other experts in the industry say to expect from guests in 2026, from how they research and book their holiday, to what they are expecting from their break.

Glamping INdustry Trends For Spring 2026

Pricing

It’s no secret that people are still feeling the cost of living crisis and that can greatly affect their decision making when choosing a holiday, alongside their everyday budgeting.

In their Glamping Marketing Trend Report 2026, Canopy & Stars said that guests want to get the best value for their money and that they will do so by “choosing places with lower rates or by taking shorter stays”.

Traditional tent camping can seem like a budget friendly choice, but there are many large upfront costs for sourcing camping equipment like sleeping bags, mini stoves, heaters, camping chairs, camping plates, cutlery, food, clothing - not to mention the tent itself!

Offering permanent or semi-permanent glamping structures at your campsite removes those upfront costs for guests wanting to spend time away in nature, which additionally makes holiday planning much easier for them!

Glamping offers a large variety of accommodation options to suit any budget, so ensuring your glampsite has a range of choices will make it accessible to more people, meaning a better return in investment for your business.

Structures

On the topic of having a variety of glamping options, RMS said in their The 2026 State of Glamping Report that glampers appreciate having a different accommodation styles to choose from. This is also a fantastic way to get repeat customers, as they will want to return and experience staying in your different accommodation units.

One of our clients Kits Coty in Kent, has a wide variety of glamping accommodation styles available, such as: bell tents, a shepherds hut and two of our camping cabins. Each accommodation unit has a specific decorative theme too, providing a unique aesthetic and experience for each option. Just take a look through their social media and you will see guests commenting about how they can’t wait to come back and stay in a different space!

RMS also found that the trend in permanent glamping structures is on the rise, with 66% of guests preferring cabin style accommodation. Canopy & Stars also found permanent, year-around glamping accommodation solutions to be the “highest-converting and most popular”.

This is great news for glamping businesses as permanent, weather-proof glamping cabins allow them to keep their site open all year around, making the most of people looking for glamping holidays in the off-season, while other sites are closed.

Wellness

When thinking about a holiday in nature, guests are expecting to feel relaxed and grounded during their stay and refreshed by the time they leave. In our busy modern lives, wellness is more important than ever to help us reconnect with ourselves, so many holiday makers will be considering this when booking.
By offering amenities like hot tubs, saunas and wellness packages, your glamping retreat will be more attractive to guests who are looking for that “luxury in nature” experience.

“Saunas, hot tubs, and outdoor baths” continue to be the most sought-after amenities, according to Canopy & Stars, with data showing that accommodation with hot tubs “generate 47% more revenue on average”.

Our Scandinavian inspired BBQ cabins are also an incredibly unique campsite amenity that offers a space for guests to barbecue in no matter the weather - you don’t see one of those everyday! They’re also a great add-on experience at larger glamping sites, for example like the BBQ hut at Humble Bee Farm.

If your business isn’t ready for an investment like a hot tub, sauna or BBQ cabin just yet, offering wellness services like massages, beauty therapies or yoga retreats is a great way to start tapping into the luxury wellness retreat market and to collaborate with other local  businesses.

Sustainability

As mentioned before, glamping is all about spending time in nature, and it’s important that your business takes care of and gives back to nature. In a new age of climate conscious consumers, the sustainability and environmental impact of your accommodation site is also under the watchful eye of your guests!

RMS found that 89% of survey respondents consider sustainability when looking to book their holiday, so reassuring your guests that you are looking after your surrounding environment and ensuring their holiday won’t be having a negative impact on our climate is incredibly important!

Our clients Hatters Meadows in Ely and Copper Beech Glamping in Staffordshire have great sustainable practices including: using eco-friendly cleaning products, single-use plastic free toiletries and compost bins. Their glamping cabins are also made of FSC-certified Scandinavian Redwood!

It’s easy to take the first steps to implementing more sustainable practices at your campsite. Be sure to be loud and proud about it on your website and social media!

Social Media & AI Research

Social media is one of the greatest marketing tools out there, and best of all, it’s free! More and more people are using social media as a search engine. So instead of going to Google, people will be searching on TikTok for things like “glamping cabins in the Lake District” or “luxury glamping pods in Leicestershire" and getting their information from user-generated content (UGC) and influencers.

Traditional marketing channels are still impactful, but making sure your accommodation site has a good presence on social media is hugely important, as it makes your business more discoverable and can help guests choose your site over a competitor.

64% of RMS’s UK survey respondents said they use social media to research new glampsites, so don’t ignore this incredibly effective marketing tool!

You will also have noticed that AI is being implemented all over the internet in various ways, but most notably (and most importantly for businesses) is the use of AI search results. Gone are the days of top sponsored results, or trying to get in the top Google search results, as we have entered an era of inclusion in AI overviews being a winner when it comes to visibility.

When people are planning their holidays, people will use a search engine or AI chat bot and ask about “glamping in Yorkshire” for example. The first result will bring up a short paragraph within a fraction of a second, telling the user the top rated places to stay, based on what it has quickly searched for across the internet. Essentially, the long hours of planning and research that people would have to do when comparing glamping sites can be done in a few minutes.

To ensure that your glampsite reaches the right audience that chooses to use AI, having a clear structure and wording on your website will make it easier to appear in AI overviews. Also remember to consider your social media channels, as those can also contribute to your appearance in AI search results!
